New York Attorney General Charged With Criminal Financial Fraud Indictment

A national judicial panel brought charges against Letitia James for bank fraud this past Thursday, according to someone with knowledge of the case.

The US attorney for the eastern district of Virginia directly submitted the charges to the grand jury this Thursday, as reported.

US attorneys do not typically appear before a grand jury.

Halligan was installed as US attorney recently after the president expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of investigations targeting political opponents.

This action is the president’s latest effort to utilize the DOJ to target opponents.

It comes a fortnight following charges were filed against James Comey.

Experienced attorneys drafted a memorandum regarding that situation explaining why indictments were not warranted.

Comey entered a not guilty plea recently.
